Lots of Cheap Goodies in Our Walmart Couponing Trip on 9-29
It’s no secret that we’re not big Walmart shoppers but we decided to do a small Walmart couponing trip on 9-29 to pick up some free burritos and a few other goodies. It’s almost never a pleasant experience for us at our Walmart from the moment we walk in and see everything in disarray on the shelves to the coupon-inexperienced cashiers. Our orignal list was much larger than what you see here, but we couldn’t find everything we were looking for and we quit looking for some items because we just wanted to leave. I’m wondering if the higher ups at Walmart never visit this store to see the condition.
While we were sorting through a mess on the shelves looking for an item, another customer swiped our cart. By the time we got to check out we were so ready to go but of course it was no quick checkout. The cashier was nice enough, but she did not know she could give overage (as per the Walmart Coupon Policy) and did not know if she could accept more than one coupon for any like items so she called a floor manager over to help. They then compared numbers on every coupon to make sure they were all different and not copies and they read every coupon (which is fine) but when it said cannot be used with any other coupon, this woman tried to tell us that we couldn’t use our one Pillsbury coupon because we were using other coupons in the transaction. She let us do it this one time. Ayayay!
She also studied the McCormick coupon since it had the bottles pictured and at first said that it was not what we purchased but she recanted that when she read the fine print which we totally didn’t notice. This coupon says “one coupon per purchase/household” which we’ve not seen before. We all know the standard “one coupon per purchase” which basically means one per item you are purchasing (which the coupon does state separately toward the bottom) but adding the /household in the fine print was the clincher We agreed and ended up getting one instead of the several we started with. I have to say that I felt a bit like a criminal upon leaving the store. I envy those of you who may have a polished Walmart to shop in. They really do have a good coupon policy!
So here’s what we ended up purchasing for under $6 in our Walmart couponing trip on 9-29:
