Santa Teresa ~ Vacation in Costa Rica Day 9 ~ 12/26/13
Day 9 of our vacation in Costa Rica brought some pretty calm water. The boys caught some small waves and Tommy just tried to make his own. This wasn’t very successful to surf on but I did get some funny pictures.
We spent several hours on the beach today between boogy boarding, surfing, playing in the sand, and just watching the waves. I don’t usually burn easily but even with spf 50 sunscreen I pushed it over the limit and got a little pink on my face. Thank goodness we brought plenty of sunscreen we picked up pretty cheap with coupons. Buying it here is pretty expensive, so you’ll want to bring plenty with you if you take a beach vacation in Costa Rica. Take advantage of the sales and coupons throughout the year! This can be a big money saver!
The sunsets here in Santa Teresa continue to amaze me. We try to be on the beach each day to see it. So far, we’ve made it every day of our vacation in Costa Rica but I’m sure we’ll have to miss one or two when we go zip lining through the canopy at Mal Pais.
After the sunset, we watched the building of the nightly bonfire in front of the Rocamar beach lounge. The boys hung out at the fire and then walked the beach.
Once it got dark, we enjoyed some freshly caught lobster at the Rocamar. Toes in the sand and lobster on our plates… this is paradise!
