The Donation Box for 4-25-15
The donation box for 4-25-15 consisted of random personal hygiene items we had picked up recently. We also received a sample box of Tena products that we figured someone could use so we threw that in. The make up remover facial wipes were extras in my stockpile that I wanted to thin out before they dried up. I can’t use them on a daily basis and I have had these in the past become unusable so I wanted to make sure someone got use out of them.
I’m a little behind on my donations this year. I haven’t been out shopping nearly as much as I’d like. I post some great deals on here but then don’t always get out to do the deal. I’m going to work on that. Hopefully Tommy and I will get back to our shopping videos and get more shopping done for the donation box too!
To find local organizations to donate food and personal items, search Feeding America or Food Pantries. You can also inquire at local churches. They can usually suggest a local organization or they may have a food pantry of their own. If you choose to donate money to charitable causes, be sure to check out the organization and donate by going directly to the website. Please don’t click on solicitation links in your email, and remember that they never need your social security number or bank routing info! Sadly, there will always be people out there taking advantage of other’s generosity!
Here’s what was in The Donation Box for 4-25-15
1 Tena Pads
2 Colgate Toothpaste
3 Glade Plugin
4 Loreal shampoo/conditioner
12 Neutrogena Facial Cloths
|If you’re not familiar with what The Donation Box is, this is a box we keep in a corner of our house that we add items to for (normally) a Saturday morning delivery to the local Co-op Ministries . Since we’ve been couponing, we have grown a nice stockpile of items so now we try to put some aside and do our small part to help others. (You can view our other delivery posts here). Other than a little extra time, there is no reason for us to pass up a free or ridiculously cheap deal… we know someone needs those items! Our boxes usually include a combination of things we purchased the current week and items from our stockpile that we have overstocked. We hope we inspire others to do the same! Whether it’s a donation of money, time, or items.. it all matters to someone!|
