Plan Your Couponing Trip With This Shopping List Spreadsheet
Many of you have asked how we plan our shopping trips or if we just “wing it”. The truth is we rarely just go with a pile of coupons and chance it. We feel that much of our success is due to planning and organization. We have always used an excel spreadsheet to list and calculate out the savings. The trick for us is to detail our trip on our shopping list spreadsheet and stick to it. As we walk into the store with our coupons and shopping list, we usually know how much we should be spending at the register. We also know what our savings percentage should be for each item as well as the overall transaction. Some of you have expressed interest in this shopping list spreadsheet we created so we’ve decided to share. Just click the button below to download the excel file! Some antivirus programs may give you a warning when you try to open it. The reason you may receive this warning is that we put links in the workbook to common sites like coupons.com, RedPlum, etc.
Not everyone will find that this type of organization is for them. Some of you may decide that your way is working best for you, whether that be your hand written notes on notebook paper or just taking your binder in and walking the aisles with your smart phone. For us, gathering our coupons ahead of time and listing everything in excel is the best way to plan our trip, know our savings and save time in the store. If you’re up for trying something new to organize your couponing trips, our shopping list spreadsheet may be worth a try. Once you click the button below, you will receive an option to save. You get the spreadsheet for free. Please note that this spreadsheet is in Excel, so you will need Microsoft Office or some other program that can open Excel in order to use it. (You can google programs that work with Excel and should be able to find some free ones) Once you save the spreadsheet to your computer, check out the instructions and the example tabs we created. This should help explain how we use the shopping list spreadsheet.
