This Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe makes a delicious appetizer or side dish with just enough salty bacon and sweet to complement the the robust earthy flavor of the Brussels Sprouts. These are a great tasting and pretty to look at appetizer or side dish for your holiday tables. I happened to stop in Trader Joe’s the other day where they had these beautiful stalks of Brussels Sprouts for only $3.99. My guys love these things, so at that price I just had to bring some  home  to use  for this recipe. It just so happens that I have plenty of bacon on hand because there  have been some good BOGO  sales and my friend Michelle told me about some delicious  bacon wrapped dates she had while visiting friends, so I am also going to give making those  a shot this week. Stay tuned for the recipe. These are great served as appetizers along with a Delicious Fresh Mojito recipe we posted about or as a side dish with any meal. Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe

  • 24 to 26 Fresh Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 package bacon, regular cut
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • cookie sheet lined with foil

Steps to make Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Trim ends and clean up outer leaves of sprouts.

  • Cut bacon in half and lay out on a foil lined cookie sheet.
  • Mix brown sugar and maple syrup together in a small bowl.
  • Brush each slice of bacon a little of the syrup mixture.

  • Wrap each sprout with a bacon slice.
  • Place seam side  down on cookie sheet.
  • Brush each wrapped sprout with a little more of syrup mixture.

  • Bake in 400 degree oven for approximately 20 to 30 minutes until bacon is crispy and sprouts a little soft. Cooking time will vary slightly depending on the size of sprouts and thickness of bacon, so be sure to start watching them  at about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Drain on a rack for a minute.
  • Move to your serving dish.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
