The Donation Box for 8-22 ~ No excuse for not shaving I suppose!
OK… I just couldn’t help myself on titling this. I was looking at all the stuff in the donation box for 8-24 and I was trying to come up with the title. I was mumbling something about all the shaving cream and razors in the box and hubby suddenly spurted out “Hey.. just title it helping the hairy“. I’m just so glad I wasn’t taking a drink at that time! It could have then been titled Damp Donations!
We have had some major shaving product success lately after the $6/3 Gillette coupon and the $3 Bic razor coupon came out and we definitely saw a chance to stock the co-op up on these items! I also had some Truvia and Annie Chun noodles in the pantry and I wasn’t a big fan of either of these so in the donation box they went. We donated most of the school supplies a few weeks ago but that Bic stationary printable coupon and the one in the 8/4 Smartsource insert showed up for $1 off. With all the sales on those for under $1, we grabbed more for the box. I’m sure there will still be a need for some writing utensils.
I have more to go through that I’m sure should have gone in the box but I procrastinated too long again and I wanted to get this box off since we’ve skipped a couple weeks. I’m really am going to start working on that procrastination problem some day.
Here’s what was in The Donation Box for this week..

|If you’re new and/or not familiar with what The Donation Box is, this is a box we keep in a corner of our house that we add items to all week for a Saturday morning delivery to the local Co-op Ministries . Since we’ve been couponing, we have grown a nice stockpile of items so now we try to put some aside and do our small part to help others. (You can view our other delivery posts here ). Other than a little extra time, there is no reason for us to pass up a free or ridiculously cheap deal… we know someone needs those items! Our boxes usually include a combination of things we purchased the current week and items from our stockpile that we have overstocked. We hope we inspire others to do the same! Whether it’s a donation of money, time, or items.. it all matters to someone!|
