Costa Rica Vacation Day 6

Santa Teresa Costa Rica Vacation Day 6

If you’ve missed our Costa Rica surfing and sunset pictures up to now, you can find Day 1 – 5 here. We’re spending an amazing 3 weeks here in Santa Teresa Costa Rica and it’s flying by.  We’re now on our Costa Rica vacation day 6. Tommy and I made our usual short little walk down the path to enjoy our morning cup of coffee and watch the sunrise.  It’s beautiful to see the sky light up and the mist from the waves almost glow in the new light. It’s the perfect way to wake up.

Tommy got in a morning surf while Dylan took another one on one surf lesson. Dylan is loving his lessons and is really picking it up fast! Mick from Mongrel Surf sent us John, an instructor who comes to the villa each day for a lesson. He’s great with Dylan and has him doing so well that the little guy was able to enjoy a sunset surf without the instructor already. Look at him go!

Tommy picked up a few more waves at sunset and played around with Dylan’s surf board a little once Dylan was done. He was trying to get barreled in the picture below. Instead he got white washed, but it was a nice try.  Maybe when the waves get bigger in the next few days he’ll succeed.

Costa Rica Vacation Day 6

Sunset on Rocomar Beach is a standard part of our schedule. We really miss this when we leave Costa Rica and go back home.  There’s just something about the sunrise and sunsets here in Santa Teresa that have a calming effect. We created a time laps video near sunset time with our GoPro that’s pretty cool.  We’re still experimenting with time intervals but it turned out ok.

The still shots turnout gorgeous as well.  I love the little swirl below the sun and the puffy clouds.

We hung out for a bit longer after the sunset again before going back to the villa. We were so tired but starving by then so we decided to order pizza from El Pulpo Pizzaria. I know… you’re probably thinking “They ordered pizza while staying on the beach in Costa Rica?!!” Well…it was pretty good, it was easy, and they delivered. The margarita pizza and the supreme pizza were both good but the Calzone was the best! Besides a small communication problem with the delivery guy who delivered the wrong order at first, it was the perfect dinner for the evening.  We gobbled it up and were in the bed by 8:30. Sunrise comes pretty early!
