More Ways to Help Moore ~ Support the Schools!

Looking for more ways to help Moore? Box Tops and book donations for schools!

Last week I posted several ways to help Moore, Oklahoma after the devastating EF5 tornado plowed through on May 20, 2013. Since then, I have had several inquiries on how to help the schools and children specifically.

Help Moore

As most of you know, deadly tornadoes hit Moore, OK on May 20th, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 people including 7 children from Plaza Towers Elementary School.  Both Briarwood Elementary and Plaza Towers Elementary schools were destroyed and are in need of supplies and rebuilding. Below are a few more ways to help Moore by helping support the schools.

box tops

Box Tops For Education A great way to help the elementary schools of Moore is to send your Box Tops for Education to them.  I have contacted both schools’ PTAs and the addresses for where to send your box tops are listed below.  Of course it’s not mandatory, but it would be very helpful if you could have them cut and counted in a labeled baggie so they know how many you are sending.  This would cut down on the time it takes them to coordinate. If you are sending very large quantities, bundling them in bags of 50 if possible would be helpful!

Jackson is a student at Briarwood who lost his mother and was seriously injured during the tornado. Jackson is known to be a huge sports fan and the PTA would like to give him signed or collectible sports items. They are asking anyone who is willing to donate or has “connections” to help. They have partnered with Eagle Heights Church that has volunteered to be a collection address for this project.
